Housegroups Print E-mail

house_in_blueEvery week we have the pleasure of coming together as a church family to worship the living God and hear His word read and explained to us. However, with around 200 people worshiping together, it's just not practical to know everyone as well as we'd like.

However, it's really important that we are part of strong Christian fellowship so that we can support, love and pray for one another. The aim of the housegroups is to do Bible study in smaller groups where we can learn from each other and get to know each other much better.

Most of the housegroups meet fortnightly on Tuesday evenings and are grouped by region. Currently we have groups for central Pontefract, Baghill/Nevison, Carleton Park, Knottingly, Larks Hill and Ackworth. For those who cannot make it to a Tuesday night housegroup, there are housegroups on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings. The hope is that each housegroup represents a good cross-section of our congregation; a mix of ages and backgrounds.
