Our special Autumn Mission events were held between Wednesday 15th & Wednesday 22nd October. We had a varied programme of events, with various speakers; including Wes Johnston (Leeds), Ian Jones (Rotherham) & Gary Aston (Wheelock Heath). A number of young adults from the church made the annual trip to Whitby, to attend the September Bible School, from 5-8th September. For those that aren't aware, the Bible School has been running since 1991 and was set up by the late Peter Brumby alongside our previous minister Bill Dyer. The aim was, and still is, to encourage Christian young adults to grow strong in Christ and be equipped for service and leadership in the church.

The speakers this year were Stephen Clark from Bridgend and Matt Leighton from Barcelona. Stephen spoke to us from Colossians and Matt taught us how the concept of covenant underpins the whole Bible.

Our gifts this year were sent for the work of Morning Star Children's Centre in Welkom, South Africa.

We will also be supporting the ministry of Caring For Life, giving dry food items, as we did last year - the food donated to Care For Life makes a huge difference to the food bills for their centre and two care homes, right throughout the year. It also enables them to be able to give out 100 hampers each Christmas and individual food parcels each week.

This year's holiday club "Pyramid Rock" was a great week and fun was had by all!

Pyramid Rock was a five day holiday club for children aged 5-11, that focused on the story, character and experiences of the Biblical character, Joseph. It was a packed week, with creative teaching, games, songs, craft, Bible reading and puppet shows.
